The Danger of Abusing God’s given Authority

Many leaders today misuse God given authority, demanding sacrifice from their sheep in ways that lead to burnout, guilt, and spiritual exhaustion.

Yes, following Christ requires sacrifice but never at the expense of peace, rest, or joy in serving Him. God calls us to lay down our lives, not to be crushed under man made burdens.

If you’re constantly tired, drained, and serving out of fear or guilt, ask yourself, Is God leading you or is man controlling you? 

God’s leadership brings rest, not oppression. His yoke is easy, His burden light. 

True rest isn’t doing nothing it’s serving God freely, joyfully, and without shame.

Beware of systems that confuse pressure with purpose. God never burns out His servants.

Throughout the Gospels, one of the recurring themes we see is the constant rejection of Jesus by the religious leaders of His day, the Pharisees and Sadducees. These men were considered the spiritual authorities of Israel, the custodians of the Law, and the gatekeepers of religious life. Yet, when the very Messiah they claimed to be waiting for walked among them, they rejected Him. Why? Because the anointing upon Jesus exposed their systems, their pride, and their reliance on human recognition and influence.
