Repentance Is Not Tears- It Is The Power That Sets You Free

The word repentance comes from the Greek word metanoia , which literally means a change of mind . This meaning is foundational, yet it is often misunderstood. Both in secular and biblical usage, metanoia refers to a shift in thinking—a complete turning of one’s inner perspective. In the biblical sense, it means turning from false beliefs to God’s truth , from deception to revelation, and from self-centered thinking to Christ-centered thinking. And when this change of mind takes place, a change in action naturally follows. True repentance is not behavior modification; it is mind transformation , and behavior is simply the fruit of that transformation. THE GREAT MISUNDERSTANDING OF REPENTANCE From the early church until today, repentance in the process of salvation has been widely mis-taught . Many churches have taught people that repentance means to first change their actions, clean up their behavior, and then deal with the heart and mind later. This approach is not only exhaust...

We Cannot Recreate the Move of God: Wait On Him

In our walk of faith, we often mistake God’s consistency for predictability. We know that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, but we frequently fail to realize that while His nature is unchanging, His movements are dynamic. Our God is not a God who hides in shadows to confuse us, but He is a God of infinite Wisdom and Purpose. As believers, we must learn a vital truth: God sometimes works in mysterious ways, but He never works the same way for everyone, or in the same way every time. The Higher Ways of an Unsearchable God We often try to bring God down to a human level, attempting to track His "methods" as if they were scientific formulas. However, Scripture warns us against this intellectual pride. In Isaiah 55:8-9, God declares that His thoughts and ways are as far above ours as the heavens are above the earth. When we look at Romans 11:33 , we see the apostle Paul marveling at the "depth of the riches and wisdom" of God, calling His judgments unsearch...

The God of Now: Seeing What God Is Doing Today

God is still the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He's not going to change His principles of working things out." It is a common human tendency to live outside of the present moment. Even within the fold of believers, many of us spend our mental and spiritual energy dwelling in the timeline of the past, or anxiously trying to measure our worth by projecting into the future. In doing so, we often miss the most vital timeframe of all: the Now. We miss what God is doing in the present moment of our lives. As we stand at the threshold of new seasons and a new year, it is vital to align our perspective with God’s eternal principles. The Danger of the Rearview Mirror In Isaiah 43:18-19, God spoke a profound word to the children of Israel, a word that transcends time and applies directly to us today: "Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilder...
