Universalism and Pluralism:Not All Roads Lead to God

A lot of people today have been distracted from the true revelation of God’s Word. Many have fallen into the trap and heresy of the evil one. Some of these teachings may sound fresh, new, and even progressive, but in reality, they are nothing more than old lies revived to entangle a new generation. The devil has never been creative; he always repeats the same tricks only packaged in a different way seeking to deceive even believers if possible. In this generation, there are countless distortions of the Gospel, but let us look at two dangerous areas where the devil seems particularly active. Sadly, many people even within the church are being deceived in these areas. 1. The Deception of Universalism One of the most dangerous heresies creeping into the modern church is universalism . Some who began well by preaching the grace of God have now swerved into one ditch, teaching that everyone is saved whether they accept Christ or not. Universalism claims that all humanity is already saved in...

The Death of Do-It-Yourself Salvation

Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life? (Matthew 19:16)  Are you familiar with this particular voice? The cry, What good works must I do to get eternal life?  has been echoing throughout the ages, across centuries, cultures, and even in our own modern churches today. Sunday after Sunday, this question fills sermons, Bible studies, and personal reflections: What Good works must I do? What good works must we do? This question, first recorded in Matthew 19:16 , was asked by a rich young ruler. It carries a weight that no man can bear. It touches the deepest longing of humanity yet exposes the greatest impossibility of man: no one can ever earn eternal life by himself. The way this ruler framed his question reveals the underlying struggle of humanity. It sounds deeply religious and noble, as though eternal life is something we can achieve, barter, or purchase by good works. The man was sure that the answer would affirm his lifelong effort of law-keeping, his stric...

Sanctify Them by Your Truth: Your Word is The Truth

John 17:17 records one of the most intimate prayers of Jesus for His disciples: Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth . This simple yet profound statement carries eternal significance. But what is the “ truth ” that Jesus refers to? Is it primarily about sin? Is it about judgment? Or is it ultimately about Jesus Himself, our beautiful Savior? Throughout Scripture, “ truth ” is not merely an abstract concept; it is a person, a revelation, and a transforming power. In John 14:6 , Jesus makes a bold declaration: I am the way, the truth, and the life . He does not simply teach the truth, He embodies it. John 1:14 describes Him as full of grace and truth . John 1:17 further explains that grace and truth came through Jesus Christ . And when He promised the Holy Spirit in John 14:17; 15:26; and 16:13 ,  He called Him the Spirit of Truth . Clearly, “truth” is central to the mission of Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit. So, what is this truth? Many assume that the primary fo...

What Sign Will You Give Us To See And Believe In You?

The Attacks on Jesus’ Identity From the very beginning of His ministry, Jesus’ identity was under attack. In the wilderness, Satan tried to shake His confidence with the words: “ If you are the Son of God… ” (Matthew 4:3). Throughout His public ministry, unbelieving Jews and religious leaders challenged Him, attempting to corner Him with their words and test His authority. Yet, in every situation, Jesus stood unshaken. He never allowed their words to dictate His actions. No man ever controlled Him. Instead, He turned every attempt at opposition into an opportunity to teach the Kingdom, reveal truth, and demonstrate that His mission was rooted in the Father’s will. Jesus proved that He was untamable by human agendas because His identity was anchored in God alone. The Demand for Signs Jesus’ life was filled with the supernatural. He healed the sick, opened blind eyes, delivered the oppressed, multiplied food, and even raised the dead. Yet despite all these works, many still refused to be...

You Are Not Their Holy Spirit

(John 14:16 – “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”) When Jesus was preparing His disciples for His departure, He gave them one of the greatest promises ever spoken: the coming of the Holy Spirit. In John 14:16, He said that the Spirit would teach us all things  and remind us of everything He had spoken. This promise is not limited to the early disciples, it extends to every believer today. The Spirit of God has been sent to live in us, to guide us, to remind us of the truth of God’s Word, and to point us back to Christ. This means the Holy Spirit plays a central role in our Christian life. He is our Teacher, our Counselor, our Advocate, our Comforter. He brings alive the very words of Jesus and causes them to penetrate our hearts with power and life. Without Him, we cannot truly understand Scripture, walk in God’s will, or experience transformation. Teachers, Preac...

Settling the Question: The willing Healer

Many believers, when speaking to the Lord, use the phrase, Lord if you are willing . This statement, when spoken in the right context, is powerful. It reflects humility, reverence, and dependence on God. James speaks about this in James 4:13–15: Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that . Here, James teaches believers the posture of humility before the Lord. It is a reminder to acknowledge our dependence on Him in all things. We are not in control of tomorrow, and so we are to yield our plans to His will. But there is one area where this statement Lord, if You are willing is often mis-judged is  the area of physical healing. The Misunderstanding About God’s Will to Heal M...

You’ve sinned too much : God is angry at you.

Have you heard that voice? The one that freezes your thoughts, fills your chest with dread, and makes you think God has given up on you? You’re lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, your chest feels heavy, and your thoughts are racing. That voice is back. You’ve sinned too much, God is angry and you’re going to hell It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t need to. It slips into your thoughts quietly, but with a crushing weight. You try to shake it off, but it stays. It feels like God Himself is speaking and it terrifies you. Some of you know exactly what I’m talking about. For others, maybe you’ve never felt it so intensely, but you’ve had a taste that sense of guilt you can’t seem to shake, that fear that maybe you’ve pushed God too far. But here’s the truth you need to know today:  that voice is not from God. The Real Source of Condemnation In this generation, the devil has unleashed an ancient but effective strategy, one that wraps itself in the disguise of God’s voice. He whispe...

The Truth the Law Couldn't Give

The Law was given through Moses, but Grace and Truth came through Jesus.  This Scripture is neither new in the Bible nor unfamiliar to most believers, yet even today, many churches, prayer centres, and religious institutions remain filled with people who lack the revelation of what it truly means.  For far too long, people have believed they are doing God or themselves a favor by trying to keep the Law in their own strength. But Jesus has already fulfilled the Law once and for all. His work on the cross is complete, yet many in the church still try to “ improve ” or “ succeed ” His finished work through their own righteous efforts, thinking this pleases God.  The truth is, God is already pleased with the perfect work of His Son. And it is no surprise that traditional churches are left wondering why people are leaving, because man-made religion can never satisfy the hunger that only God’s grace can fill. It is said, " Where the grass grows, the sheep will graze ." If the t...

Surely Rabbi, you don't mean me? - The Spirit of Judas

Judas Iscariot is one of the most well-known yet controversial figures in the Bible. His name is nearly synonymous with betrayal. Known as the disciple who handed Jesus over to be crucified, Judas is remembered throughout history for one of the most tragic choices ever made. Over the centuries, many theories, debates, and commentaries have surfaced about him. Was he saved? Was he predestined for destruction? Could he have repented? These are questions scholars, theologians, and preachers have pondered for generations. Because Judas was one of the twelve disciples who walked with Jesus, many assume he must have been born again or saved. Others argue that Judas’s betrayal was predestined by God to fulfill prophecy, leaving Judas without any real choice. But regardless of where people stand on these theological debates, the Bible makes one thing unequivocally clear, Judas did not end up in Heaven. In Acts 1:25, after Judas’s death, the apostles prayed for someone to replace him in ministr...

EASY TO JUDGE BUT HARD TO LIFT THEM IN PRAYER

In a world where the Gospel is indeed advancing, there is also an undeniable rise in the force of darkness, a surge of sin, deception, and lawlessness. And while the light of Christ is being proclaimed, the shadows of evil continue to grip societies, institutions, and individuals alike. Nagaland, our homeland known as a Christian State is not exempt from this reality. But today, I do not intend to address this issue from a political perspective, nor from a secular one. I write from the biblical point of view, observing the religious system within our land, particularly how we react to sin and corruption in leadership. Keeping this in mind, prayer should never stop at the church gate, prayer centre, the pastor’s house, or the prayer warrior’s door. It can be lifted up anywhere, by anyone and God hears them all. When there is a genuine hunger for change, it does not have to begin with the leaders; it can also be birthed in the hearts of intercessors A Culture Quick to Judge There is a gr...

All that the Lord commands, we will do : The Toiling of Man - Part 2

“The old has gone, behold the new has come”,  a phrase often spoken over those who have been born again, celebrating the transformation that takes place when one encounters the life-giving power of Jesus Christ. While the phrase is widely associated with personal salvation and new beginnings, it also carries deep theological weight. It is a reflection not only of a new identity in Christ but of a greater spiritual transition: from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant, from law to grace, from striving to resting, from man’s effort to God’s mercy and Grace.  This powerful shift echoes the words of Jesus in the Gospels, where He spoke about the incompatibility of new wine with old wineskins (Luke 5:37-38). The new covenant marked by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus could not be contained within the old religious systems rooted in performance and self-righteousness. This is not just a change in practice but a radical change in relationship, where the weight of salvation...
