There is a growing and widespread misunderstanding among believers today, especially among men in the church. Honoring or blessing a man of God whether financially, materially, or through acts of service has long been a vital practice in Christian communities across the world, including in Nagaland. The Bible reminds us repeatedly that honoring our spiritual leaders is biblical, healthy, and necessary for the Body of Christ. Supporting our pastors, uplifting fellow believers, and helping one another in practical ways are beautiful expressions of Christian love. Jesus is the only sinless man who ever walked on earth, the only one who had every right to condemn the world, yet He chose not to. We often remember John 3:16 , “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,” but we tend to overlook John 3:17 , which says, For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. This verse beautifully reveals the heart of the Father through the life of Jesus. Humanity has always carried the notion that God is a distant being, always angry, always waiting to punish. But Jesus came to correct that misunderstanding. He came not as a judge but as a Savior. His mission was not to condemn, but to redeem. Yet, Jesus never made sin look easy or less destructive.
